Prayer Points Against Hidden Enemies

The term "hidden enemy" can be interpreted in various ways, depending on the context in which it is used.

In general, a hidden enemy could refer to an adversary or opponent who is not immediately apparent or easily identifiable. This could include a spy, a saboteur, or someone who is working covertly to undermine or sabotage a person, organization, or country.

In a more metaphorical sense, a hidden enemy could also refer to an internal struggle or challenge that is not easily visible, such as a psychological disorder, addiction, or negative thought patterns.

One Bible passage that discusses hidden enemies is Psalm 55:12-14, which says:

"For it is not an enemy who taunts me—

then I could bear it;

it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me—then I could hide from him.

But it is you, a man, my equal,

my companion, my familiar friend.

We used to take sweet counsel together;

within God's house we walked in the throng."

In this passage, the Psalmist laments the betrayal of a close friend who has become an enemy, but not an obvious one. This hidden enemy is particularly painful, as the Psalmist had trusted and confided in this person in the past.

Before we get into Prayer, Here are more Bible verses and lessons to consider about hidden enemies:

Ephesians 6:12 - "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Lesson: Our enemies are not always visible or tangible. We may face spiritual opposition from unseen forces of darkness. It's important to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) to be prepared for this battle.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 - "And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."

Lesson: The devil and his followers may disguise themselves as good or trustworthy, but their intentions are ultimately evil. We need to be discerning and test the spirits (1 John 4:1) to avoid being deceived.

Psalm 64:2-4 - "Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity, who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words, that they may shoot in secret at the blameless."

Lesson: Our enemies may plot and scheme against us in secret. We can take comfort in knowing that God sees everything and can protect us from their schemes.

Matthew 7:15-20 - "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits."

Lesson: False teachers and leaders may appear harmless or even beneficial, but we can discern their true nature by examining their actions and the fruit they produce. We need to be cautious and not be easily swayed by smooth talkers.

Proverbs 26:24-26 - "He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself; when he speaks kindly, do not believe him, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the assembly."

Lesson: Our enemies may speak kind words to our faces while harboring hatred and deceit in their hearts. We need to be wise and not let their flattery or false promises lead us astray.

I hope these verses and lessons provide a good starting point for your prayer session against hidden enemies. Remember that God is greater than any enemy we may face, and He is always with us to protect and guide us.
