Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we gather in the warmth of His grace today, let us open our hearts to the comforting words found in Psalm 118:8-9 (NKJV): "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes."
In a world filled with uncertainties and shifting sands, these verses stand as a lighthouse guiding us through the storms of life. The psalmist's words echo across time, reminding us that our ultimate trust should be anchored in the unwavering faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.
You see, beloved, people may falter, promises may break, and circumstances may change, but the Lord remains steadfast. His love is unshakable, His promises are unbreakable, and His presence is unchangeable.
When the waves of doubt crash against the shores of our hearts, we find solace in the simple yet profound truth – it is better to trust in the Lord. We are not called to put our confidence in the ever-shifting sands of human opinions or the fleeting power of earthly leaders. Our trust is to be firmly rooted in the One who holds the universe in His hands.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the goodness of our God. His faithfulness is a rock on which we stand, a refuge in times of trouble. When we place our trust in Him, we discover a peace that surpasses all understanding.
